AWN Updates: New 3D Effect
AWN is developing so quickly that it is worthwhile updating and recompiling on a daily basis to see the changes. Today brought a new look for the Volume-Control-Applet and a new Icon effect: 3D turn. As you mouse over the icons they spin around their vertical axis. Below are a few screenies, but the 3D effect would be best to see in a video. I'm a bit time-strapped, so it's pictures only. But you'll get the idea.

3D turn icon effect.

Im interested in setting up AWN but no link to download is provided.
Of course you will think Google it !!
Yes you have a point but what if I get a different repository that is not up to date? Lets make things easier for the Linux newbies....
Thanks
That is pretty slick. I will keep an eye out for your demo video.

If you are worried about getting a different repository that's not up-to-date you probably shouldn't be compiling it from source. The debian packages are good enough for most, and no matter how good a programmer is, bugs will creep into the source repository.
That google code link is ancient, though it links to the correct page at: https://code.launchpad.net/awn/.

Mostly when you Google it the official page is ranked higher than some third party results. You end up at http://code.google.com/p/avant-window-navigator/ which again links to https://launchpad.net/awn
