Workaround for VNC4server End Of Stream Problem

Roberto Farolini has just added a note to the bug for this in Launchpad:
"-extension XFIXES" adding this option to my vnc4server command line solved my problems.
I hope this helps.
Yes, it does help! If I add that to the end of the server_args line in my /etc/xinetd/Xvnc file, vnc4server now gives me a GDM login screen instead of "End of Stream".

EDIT: Once I get to the login screen, it won't accept my login. See this thread for a solution. There is a new feature that prevents multiple logins from the same user that is enabled by default.

Hi,Warren -- thanks for commenting at my blog about this. The -extension option works with the latest vnc4server on one of my Edgy machines.

I mentioned it in this thread:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2593088#post2593088

And will be updating my blog post soon also.
